Practical briefing: the new EU Customs Code - update

Practical briefing: the new EU Customs Code - update

The Council approved the new Union Customs Code on 3 September 2026, and the European Parliament votes on 17 September 2026. Some of it applies to your work within months, some of it changes the job by 2034.

During this practical briefing, we will:

  • set out the key changes for business to act on now - new responsibilities, new opportunities, new costs, and data that must be complete and accurate before the goods are released;

  • look at how we will work from March 2034, when the customs declaration no longer exists and data is provided through the EU Customs Data Hub;

  • consider what to put in place to adapt in time - the knowledge, the updates and the research tools that keep a practitioner ready.

This session shows the CustomsClear suite of AI assistants at work. Classify AI, Smart Taric AI and Sanctions AI cut research time - classification, tariff measures and restrictions, checked against the sources in seconds. The News agent keeps you up to date. The Learning companion builds the competence to stand behind your decisions, and the Article assistant answers your questions on any article. The decisions are made by you, not by the tools. The next session looks more closely at knowledge and competence in the light of the new code.

🎁 One attendee will be selected to receive 30 days of free access to the Pro plan.

About 'AI in practice' sessions

On selected Mondays, we will invite you to a 30-minute update on a recent EU customs-related development. Each session then shows how one of our tools - Sanctions AI, Smart Taric AI, Classify AI, Learning companion or News agent - helps you day to day: less time spent on research, better information at hand, and more confidence in the decisions you make.
