Sanctions AI: live demo at the International Customs Ecosystem conference

On 6 October 2025, our CTO and AI expert, Sarunas Jurele, delivered a presentation at the International Customs Ecosystem Conference 2025 in Vilnius, organised by Lithuanian Customs and Lithuanian Customs Practitioners Association.

Sarunas’ presentation took part in the session “Tech Foresight for Competitive Success”, where he introduced our latest tool: Compliance-check assistant - Sanctions AI powered by Picoco.

During the presentation, he showcased a live demo of the EU sanctions compliance checker against Russia and Belarus, illustrating how AI can help businesses navigate complex and constantly evolving sanctions regulations with confidence.

The assistant demonstrated its ability to answer practical, real-world compliance questions such as:

• “Can I export wine (CN 22042106) from Italy to Russia?”
• “Show me Article 3h(1) of Regulation 822/2014.”

The demo highlighted how AI-powered compliance tools can support companies in staying compliant, reducing risk, and making faster, better-informed decisions in international trade.
