Christopher Matt is an expert in customs classification, export controls, and AI-powered trade compliance. Companies led by him support multi-billion-euro enterprises across Europe and North America with expert-led, AI-enhanced systems for tariff classification, export control verification, and dual-use assessment. With over a decade’s experience optimising industrial processes in regulated environments, he is also a published author on foreign trade.

Michael Lux advises and coaches professionals engaged in international trade on achieving compliance while optimising savings in customs duties, excise duties, and VAT. His expertise spans anti-dumping and countervailing investigations, tariff classification, tariff quotas and suspensions, preferential arrangements, customs valuation, rules of origin, customs procedures, customs debt and guarantees, enforcement against goods infringing intellectual property rights, applications for centralised clearance and other simplified procedures, AEO status, and the implications of Brexit. He is also experienced in legal advocacy before EU institutions and national authorities, and regularly delivers training and lectures on these subjects.
